Crimsonland II ?

I was lurking through the discussion about Online Coop and noticed one of the Dev's said

Is there any hope for us long time Crimsonland fans to see a sequel or a spiritual successor? I've been playing Crimsonland for over a decade and I was ecstatic when I heard of Neon Chrome. To many it may be the spiritual successor they were looking for, but as much as I tried, I couldn't get into it. The Tesla vs Lovecraft interests me but here is what I love about Crimsonland (and why NC missed the mark for me)

• Massive Amounts of enemies
  
• Buttery smooth topdown twin stick shooter
  
• Game emphasized movement and power-up chaining over precision aiming
  
• Responsive local coop
  
• Campaign - I prefer objective based gaming over endless survival gameplay
  
• Relatively short campaign levels - Dying wasn't a big deal, you just tried again
  
• Light RPG elements - Perks and unlockables
  
• Tons of variety in perks, weapons, enemies, and enemy behavior
  
• RNG factor - cause it's fun to attempt to beat the spider level without the rocket launcher on Grim
  
• Simplistic - the game is not overly complicated. Easy to pick up and play a few rounds in between RL obligations.

maybe someone can point me to a game 10Tons is creating that may fit my desires

Tesla vs Lovercraft does fit into most of those points - it does have campaign similar to one in Crimsonland, it does have similar unlockables and perk system.

As for Crimsonland 2 the devs wanted to do it years ago, they actually posted some content made for it (like weapon images) on Crimsonland sprites. I'm not sure what happened to that project, probably some concepts from it got included in this Crimsonland remake. The devs said that they want to make Crimsonland 2, but it is hard to say when. I think it is quite probable that it will likely be huge project and they want to get funds for it with current games in development.
