Its just RNG and she's a cruel mistress.
On top of the entry of the trunk of the Pontiac, there is nothing but a license plate, as a "lid".
I had the same issue with my first Mustang's rear windshield: spent over 100 km looking for one. It finally spawned at a ramp POI, all by itself with no Mustang or other Mustang parts nearby. It was especially coincidental because that was the first time I ever stopped at a ramp POI.
Second Mustang on my current playthrough? I found the rear windshield at the next POI after I picked up the Mustang itself. Literally the first part I found.
Check your log, something is likely wrong. The wiki lists some parts as x2 while in the game there is a definite left and right variant.
This happens a LOT with some floor mats, turn signals, etc. For instance the firebird's backseats are not the same, there is a left and right variant.
so again, check your log. Same location as save game, just in the logs folder. Open the recent, search for - is a wrong part on - If none found, check your most recent backup of that same file, and again search for the above term. One of them will give you a clue.
btw - for those seats in back, look at them from the back at the bottom, you'll notice the difference in them.
C:\Users\"USER"\AppData\Local\DriveBeyondHorizons\Saved\Logs
Don't forget to replace "USER" with your actual user name on your PC.
Once you find the logs start you game save remove one part from the car and put it back. Then open your most recently edited log and scroll to the very bottom. It'll have a line similar to
LogBlueprintUserMessages: [None] BP_Pontiac_BackSeat_L_C_2137377816 is a wrong part on: PontiacCar_C_2137379205.CarBackSeat_R expected: BP_Pontiac_BackSeat_R_C
That line of code will tell you what you have installed and what should be there. The above Example say that the Left back seat for the Pontiac is installed into the right seat postion.
