Add better graphic settings

idk why my laptop doesnt play games anymore missing drivers or sum but if you could add detail or terrain settings to lower the population of shrubbery and bushes. just a idea

You can manually edit the GameUserSettings.ini file in %appdata% to adjust every specific thing then save it, set it as read only, and that'll work. Just give me a minute I'll give you the exact address for the file need to reinstall the game real quick.

Right, so that file is located in \AppData\Local\DriveBeyondHorizons\Saved\Config\Windows

I am on a powerful PC (4060 TI)

I found that adjust sg.ViewDistanceQuality=1 improved my FPS a lot
and below that you can see the foliage settings etc..

I've also been playing with sg.ResolutionQuality=90 a bit, I cant see the difference between 80 and 95 on 1080p so ... I dunno, It does improve my FPS though. Please also keep in mind, monitoring my usage on GPU/CPU/SSD while playing, I never hit 100% and still get FPS lag every so often. It's just the game.

Make sure you set this file as READ ONLY or else your game will overwrite it as soon as you launch it.

But yes you are correct, all these settings should be in the settings menu for custom graphics rather than one of the three presets.
