Drive Beyond Horizons

Drive Beyond Horizons

Request from a player with a low-end computer.
The game is absolutely awesome, and i was stunned with it's quality and content when i found it. But i have a problem that turns the game pretty much unplayable for me, and it makes me sad. The performance.

The game's graphics are pretty nice even in the lowest preset possible, and i think the game should have some optimizations and more graphics configurations, like being able to decrease the texture quality, disable post-processing effects, and also a render distance system.

For context: I live in a country that the prices for modern computer parts is not that cheap, even more when it comes to your parents buying it, and my computer is currently being held up by a mix of 10 and 20+ year-old hardware, so it has seen better days.

That isn't even a solution.
I have a 3080 GPU, i9-10850K CPU and 32GB of Ram while Running off of a Name Brand SSD and the game still has Performance Issues on my system. The Most i can get FPS wise is 40-50 i run at 7-12 most times with heavy stuttering.
The Game NEEDS optimisation in the Long (maybe even short) Run.
It runs worse then Cyberpunk on High settings.

And that is beside the Point of "Just buy better stuff" being a REALLY condecending attitude.

it is a fun game and i can deal with the issues Personally but that does not mean it shouldn't be made better. This isn't really a "Bad old Hardware" problem.

You can do that like with any other Unreal Engine game in the settings/config files. It's a workaround until they improve performance and optimize the game, which they said is planned

I can't seem to find the files that you mean. I also searched in the internet about that but nothing related appeared.

10 and 20+ year-old hardware... You just need to upgrade and build a new $800 gaming PC.
Ryzen5, AMD Video card, M.2 drive, DDR4 and a cheapo 800W power supply

That's actually brilliant, how didn't i think about that before?
i7-3770
GTX1050Ti
16GB RAM
Patience and enjoyment)))
The new build is already ordered, but I'm not sure it will be much better, because the game is still in development.
It seems a bit unreasonable to expect the dev team to cater to PC hardware that's so outdated it practically needs a cane. While I understand not everyone can stay up to date with the latest tech, relying on a PC that's 10 to 20 years old is more of a user issue that needs addressing personally.
lmao. mr level zero shadowfeather. does your brain only see half of what the man says. i love people who try to make themselves feel better of other. BUT STEAM LEVEL 0 TALK lmao

Try using some upscaling. Eg. Lossless scaling in steam store.

you cant expect them to optimize for 20 year old hardware bro. the time to upgrade was 15 years ago lol

I wasn't expecting the devs to make the game to run in my hardware, i really just talked about my hardware to give some context, and also how for me it's not that simple to upgrade.

Plus, I honestly exaggerated about my computer. It runs most games just fine.
(not this game though)

I actually have the exact same GPU, and i have 20GB of RAM. Only bad thing is my CPU, which is a AMD FX 6300 6-Core. (in reality it's has 3 cores btw.)

Yeah, I just wished that the game got some optimization, it's not that my computer is horrible afterall, it runs fine for most games.

Tried that but i've never really seen any difference using it. Thx anyway though

Im using AMD FMF and it works just fine boosting my FPS from ~140 to 240
