Drive Beyond Horizons

How to fix No VSYNC/Screen Tearing issues
Figured this out after a bit of tinkering.

1. Set in-game frame limit to a couple frames above what you want VSYNC to be, or what your monitor is (62 instead of 60, 146 instead of 144, etc)
2. Open NVIDIA Control Panel (For Nvidia Cards, for AMD use Adrenaline)
3. Go to Manage 3D Settings
4. Go to Program Settings
5. Find Drive Beyond Horizons in the list, if it's not there, click add, then find the game exe.
6. Scroll down the settings list and set VSYNC to always on.
7. (Optional) If needed again, set frame rate limit within NVIDIA Settings.

Enjoy, no more screen tearing and the game shouldn't be running at 1000 fps causing your pc to turn into a space heater!

Still getting horrendous screen tearing with this set in Nvidia control panel. It doesn't allow me to set the framerate any higher than my monitor's refresh rate though. Adding official vsync support should be a priority for the dev.

The proper fix guys its UE engine game so you have to go to app data folder located here

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\DriveBeyondHorizons\Saved\Config\Windows

and find the game settings ini open it up using note pad c## and find the vsync line set it to True...save file and right click go to properties and set file to read only or engine will over right it when u start game up again....

any UE engine game that does not have vsync in in game stetings can be forced this way through the game settings ini ...enjoy

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try. I ended up fixing the tearing by actually setting the framerate limiter lower than my refresh rate oddly enough, but this would be ideal. It's strange that it's even a problem considering I forced Vsync through Nvidia and have a Gsync display.

This literally doesn't work. I've changed it to true and still get screen tearing.
I don't get it. Vsync was included and worked perfectly in the demo. Why remove the option in the full game?

Didn't work for me. Still bad screen tearing. Can't play the game like this

I just realised I added the demo instead of the full game. After changing it no more tearing.
