I kinda glitched the alien by using a modding app called "We Mod" if you max out your running speed you will outrun the ship and it wont spawn back in after that.

You can try to shoot down the UFO. Takes a lot of ammo for the AK or good aim with the bazooka. In full game the bazooka works most of the time. Never tried the AK again after finishing off one UFO in the demo a long time ago.

You can also try to pass the 50km line at dawn and keep on driving as fast as you can. Fresh tires and a full tank required. I ended the demo at nearly 90km one time just bc the UFO didn't show up at daylight (don't know if it still is this way in the demo).
