This game is already miles ahead in development and there will be more to it than just driving and hoarding supplies for no real good reason. There will be a campaign and as well, other game modes.
Instead of looking at this game as being an asset flip, maybe try seeing it as a middle finger to Genesz (through the power of association) for stringing along his community for so long while delivering nothing more than a concept in a span of more than half a decade. Still there is no end in sight for his game either. The core of The Long Drive isn't even set in stone yet, after half a decade.
Let these guys cook. It's early days still. At least we got access to the concept without paying a retail fee for this demo. Genesz charged a fee to access his demo concept. That says a lot about Genesz and these guys.
Couldn't agree more, this will be funded by Patreon, a soundtrack, supporter bundle, and a hundred dlcs before it leaves early access. I've seen way too many of these games do it.
Yet here you are, interested enough to leave a discussion post in this eternity and beyond simulator. These guys live rent free in your head. XD
All sorts of manufacturers make plastic cups. Should all those manufacturers shut down because only the creator of the plastic cup is allowed to make plastic cups? Seriously? Where do you people come up with these idiotic notions?
It's a demo, McFly. Not a release retail product, but a free demo of a product that is in development. What part of that do you not understand, McFly? Think McFly! Think!
