Looking for some advice on issues with importing objects (from blender)
I'm hoping that someone can offer some advice on a problem I'm having importing objects from blender into comipo. I should probably say up front that I have no idea how to use blender.

Anyway, the issue is that whilst I can export an object from blender to a .obj file and then import it into comipo, you can only see the textures INSIDE the object. The faces are invisible from the outside. So if you look at it from the top you can see the inside of the bottom.

Here's a screenshot to illustrate what I mean: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/RBbvc5aLyOmnGywUpbx68fssUUQjpylZdHQclfkpOJ4?feat=directlink

I'm not sure if this is an error comipo is having when I import the file, or if there's a problem with the object itself. It all seems to render okay in blender, but I don't really know anything about the program. I'm only using it as I wanted a Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Disk to use, and the only one I could find was a blender file. The duel disk itself imports just fine, the only problem I'm having is with the deck. And that's just a rectangle with a texture for the card back. I spent a large chunk of yesterday trying to get this to work, and whilst I did manage to improve the texture from the original model quite a bit I still keep banging my head against this backwards viewing problem. Which is incredibly annoying as I'm so close to getting it just right.

If anyone could offer some advice I'd be deeply grateful.

To me, it seems like the faces of the object are inverted.

Here is a link to an MQO export plug-in for Blender. Install it, export the model in MQO and drop it into Metasequoia. Once it's in there, select the whole model (Ctrl+A) and hit the 'invert' tool, if it's what I suspect it is that should fix the issue for you.

Thanks, that's looking promising. If I can only get the damn plug-in to install then we might actually be getting somewhere.

Okay, for whatever reason that plugin would never work for me. No idea why. BUT! Using Metasequoia was indeed the answer to my problems. Admittedly it was a slow, painful answer as I had to redo the texture I'd built for the deck, and then there were a bunch of weird problems with other parts of the duel disk. But I managed to get everything patched together in the end.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I owe you one.
