Report a translation problem
It's real easy. Once you've downloaded a file you can click and drag it into ComiPo, which if it's a 3D object will bring up the 'import data' box, or if it's a 2D it will drop it straight onto the page and add it to your 2D data folder under ' new data' if it's just an image file. You can also open the import function by pressing F2 (for 2D) or F3 (for 3D).
I have never had any issues importing assets with Japanese characters for names, so I'm afraid I cant help you with that one outside of advising you to make sure your computer is set up to handle Japanese characters. Can you give me an example of which specific asset(s) isn't working, i'll give it a try myself to make sure.

The unzips worked great, locale was an easy change, though my Steam version of ComiPo didn't import them for whatever reason. My non-Steam version did.
I did a quick search for Samurai Armour, doesn't look like any is available.
