UPDATE 21/09/2016: 1 new site added
UPDATE: 26/09/2016: 1link updated

For those who are having a hard time locating content to import, see these pages. Lot's of 3D and 2D assets for you to import into the program, mostly free (some linked sites contain content you may like to purchase, not many though) and many are ComiPo optimized. Most of these websites are in Japanese, but you should be able to find things if you just click around.

EXTRA STUFF

ComiPo is amazing, but it's even better with tools that compliment it. Here are a bunch of links to free programs for 3D modelling and 2D image manipulation.

MikuMikuDance asset files (.pmd) can be easily converted to MQO for use in ComiPo.

Great! GREAT! That's super! Man, you are the best! This stuff is really good :B1:

Would be cool if there were instructions to import the stuff for those who don't know unless I missed it.

Any suggestions on Japanese assets that don't import due to file character name issues?

It's real easy. Once you've downloaded a file you can click and drag it into ComiPo, which if it's a 3D object will bring up the 'import data' box, or if it's a 2D it will drop it straight onto the page and add it to your 2D data folder under ' new data' if it's just an image file. You can also open the import function by pressing F2 (for 2D) or F3 (for 3D).

I have never had any issues importing assets with Japanese characters for names, so I'm afraid I cant help you with that one outside of advising you to make sure your computer is set up to handle Japanese characters. Can you give me an example of which specific asset(s) isn't working, i'll give it a try myself to make sure.

You can find good instruction HERE[akio-noir.deviantart.com]

And here link for european community: http://comipo-fc.deviantart.com/
You can find a lot of stuff here, and links to another pages with models, backgrounds, even dresses and hairstyle!

Oh yeah, I had forgotten Akio-Noir had tacked that to the bottom of the E3paper stuff. That explains why it's always worked for me straight up, becasue my computer is always set to Japanese locale for the sake of supporting visual novels.

DeXP, exactly what I was looking for. I do know that there are programs that consider Locale changing to be hacking and disable their operation on your computer if you change the Locale. I hope none of my present programs are like that.. I hope..
The unzips worked great, locale was an easy change, though my Steam version of ComiPo didn't import them for whatever reason. My non-Steam version did.
kitty1317 Mar 30, 2014 @ 8:38am
how do you get the stuff on http://www.mangasozaibox.comee.jp/ ??
Spectre Mar 30, 2014 @ 10:01am
You have to register a free account and log in, then the item pages will have a download link on them. The user registration page is the blue box on the left (the one without the person symbol), in the upper right corner of the page.

Thanks for that, I'll add it to the list

Benshadow Apr 2, 2014 @ 5:49am
do you have a link for samurai clothes?
Spectre Apr 2, 2014 @ 7:54am
Not specifically for ComiPo, no. It's possible to get Japanese period clothing like Kimono and Hakama which are intended for MMD use from DeviantArt, which can be converted for use with ComiPo, but of course it will be a static 3D item and not recognized as clothing by the program, so it wont move with the character and may not fit correctly even on static poses.

I did a quick search for Samurai Armour, doesn't look like any is available.
