Render transparency in png?

Hi, can I export an image with transparency around characters in png format?
I want to try edit later the background.

Yes, you can. You can either use a frameless background and export png and click the box under where you select the output type that asks if you want transparency.

Or you can use a frame and select the make background transparent box. And then follow the above process.
