Exiting the game causes the application to freeze. Have to kill it manually.

Hello, I will inform the Linux programmer, but I'm afraid it would be hard to solve it. There is no chance to test the game on all Linux systems and configurations :(

Thanks, I am happy to help or test in any way I can. Great game!

The last lines of strace as the game freezes on Quit, and I force the application to terminate, if it helps:

I'm afraid we are not sure where is the problem. I recommend to return the game or some Linux players reported, that play the Win version under an emulator. I'm sorry for that :(

same issue on steam deck

The problems (sound cutting at menu, game hanging on exit) seem to be related to a bundled library, BASS, which is outdated. To make the game work properly on my machine, I downloaded the latest linux version from the BASS website[www.un4seen.com] and replaced the library (~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/JnG Gold/lib32/libbass.so) with the one precompiled in the archive (/libs/x86/libbass.so). I didn't test extensively, for a long session though.

Hope that helps :signix:

PS: I'll check the workaround on Steam Deck and report later

Thanx, It's simple and do the trick... All is good now but why the devs dosn't fix it so? Is the Time for support over?
