ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

View Stats:
I’m on the fence about this one.
1) Can’t buy the DLC separately, and there is a warning on the store page saying to make sure you buy the right edition. That means if you buy base game, you have to fork out another $55 for the edition that includes the DLC. Other companies will at least sell them separate, what gives?

2) gameplay still looks heavily reliant on stagger/riposte, which made Elden Ring feel pretty brain dead. Charged R2, L2, stun, riposte, repeat.

3) A LOT of reused bosses and Limgrave assets. I am willing to give it a chance to see what else is on offer, but what I saw in pre release footage left me on the fence, instead of firm buyer. Longtime player, since Demon’s Souls. I yearn for them to return to such subtlety.

Dude, the game is currently on pre-order, like Monster Hunter Wild, all DLC will be available for purchase when the game launches.

I’ll believe that when I see it. Other games with pre-release DLC would at least link to a page with minimal details. Right now, they are selling something that doesn’t exist via the deluxe. It is indefensible, and should not be supported. It’s Ubisoft levels of scamming the customer.
If you want to complain about the wrongs of the modern gaming market you’re on the wrong board lol.

That’s normal nowadays. You don’t HAVE to buy it. You can just buy the standard edition.

Ever heard of early access? Devs are literally letting you buy access to their unfinished games that they aren’t even obligated to finish.

Don’t listen to the zombie horde of FromSoftware fans, if they have a mouse icon next to their name their opinion means nothing. They are what you call consumers :neko_evil:

I am seeing that, lately. Hopefully more people choose to analyze the product before purchase.
It’s like politics, these FromSoftware zombies will defend this out of touch game studio until the end :sakurabeachmomokolaugh: This is the end as this game looks horribly low quality with the same reused assets even going as far to reuse assets from their past games. FromSoftware zombies are ruining the gaming industry and it’s sad :sadMio:

Behold, the man who does not like sushi, going to a sushi restaurant, then telling everyone that if they like sushi they are ruining food as a whole. makes total sense! It's crazy how many people think they are the center of the universe, if you dare have different opinions from them you are a zombie. Maybe seek therapy? just a suggestion.

But every other game does it.

- Black Myth Wukong has Standard and Deluxe Edition pre-orders, no DLC pre-orders, and the Deluxe Edition content is available after the game is released, not during pre-orders.

- Monster Hunter Wild has 3 editions, like BMW, no DLC pre-orders. All DLC content is available after the game is released, not pre-orders.

- Even Dragon Age: The Veilguard does it, DLC (Deluxe Edition Upgrade) is available after the game is released, not pre-orders.

-...

It's Steam's policy, they don't let you buy DLC without the base game because some guy out there will buy DLC without buying the base game and then go to the Steam Community Page asking why they bought the game and don't see it in their library. See for yourself, add a random DLC for a game you don't own to your cart and Steam won't let you purchase that DLC.

Agreed 100%.

Fromsoft used to be industry leaders, with everybody copying them. Since they made their mostly empty open world game, and now, this featureless rogue thing I am getting more skeptical about the studio’s future.

“They did it so it’s ok.”

No, it is not ok when any studio does that. Numerous past releases have either withheld DLC until it is ready, or they link to a placeholder page with a TBA timeframe and a placeholder screenshot.

Pretty much every single triple A release nowadays offers a deluxe edition right from the get go with season passes and whatnot even though the base game hasn't released yet.

It has been the norm for a good while now. Have you been living under a rock?

I dont get your problem here. They announced a DLC, gave us a rough estimate on when it will release and what it will contain and that's it. You can buy the deluxe edition now or the DLC seperately later (a fact you keep ignoring btw). They are not hiding anything, they are not lying.

Conveniently ignoring the other half of that post I see.

You are also allowed to tell people who like sushi that they are ruining food, it doesn't make it sound reasoning.

Thank you for showing you have no clue how steam works...
Since 2022 you can buy game and don't display them on your profile
so when posting on steam forum you will not have mouse icon next to your name.

Damn If you have no idea what you talking about, don't speak ok? Save yourself embarassment. Thanks.

Setting your game as private WILL NOT make mouse icon go away on Steam forums. So anyone who has it, already preordered the game via Steam and cannot pretend that he didn't.

Funny you try to correct someone, when you are clearly wrong.
