Dual bow ironeye is WAY TOO OP.
Get these buffs:

  • (Weapon) Wielding two armaments (each +10% attack)
  • (Weapon) Ranged attack up (each +10% attack)
  • (Talisman) Arrow's Sting Talisman (+14% bow attack)
  • (Talisman) Spear Talisman (+20% thrusting attack during the counterattack window)
  • (Orbs) Various physical attack up and counterattack attack up effect.
  • (Relic) Initial Standard Attack (+13% attack)
  • (Relic) Evergaol (each +5% attack)
  • (Relic) Improved Stance-Breaking When Wielding Two Armaments
  • (Relic) Improved Attack Power with 3+ Bows Equipped (+10% attack)
  • (Relic) Boosts Thrusting Counterattacks After Using Art (+30% for 30s)

How it works? You need to equip 2 bows and shoot them back and forth to trigger the initial attack +13% attack repeatedly. When you saw the above stuff just pick them.

You can do around 200 damage per arrow at level 15 with a purple bow, that is A LOT! Even the most tanky bosses like BBH only has around 12k HP, only 60 shots for you to kill him.

Most great melee weapons only do around 300 damage per attack and have way higher down time than bows.

"two armaments" refers to powerstance attacks, the bow has no power stance attack and therefore gets no bonus.

Terrible garbage relics, because if you are going to play with "(Relic) Initial Standard Attack (+13% attack)", you should just get more of this effect, since it stacks.

I didn't know it stacks, if that is true then 3 initial standard attack relics is probably the best option
Someone posted a video about this comparing the damage between alternating two initial shots on dual wielded bows vs. just doing a full combo with a single bow.

If you're looking at just the number of damage over however many shots, the initial damage setup has slightly higher output.

But it also takes like 50% longer to get the same number of hits out as just stringing out a combo with a single bow, so the DPS is worse.

Stacking 3 means you miss out on the final boss relic, which is the best DPS increase relic in the game for Ironeye. Also keep in mind that heavy attack with Ironeye is really valuable at close range or vs larger targets... the initial standard attack relic only increases first light attack, not the heavy attack.

The only relic I consider mandatory and best in slot for Ironeye is the final boss relic.

Meh, not satisfied, will have to do the test myself with proper timer and see how long it takes to do same amount of shots per method.

You were wrong about the speed. Shots from a single bow have a significantly down time after every 4 arrows, but alternating shots doesn't.

It is actually faster shoot alternatively than just from a single bow.

the 4 shot combo has faster attack speed than alternating shots

tbh not really, it's mandatory if you have a recluse in the team, as ironeye not really
Or just play Recluse to clap bosses and stop fooling yourself into thinking bow damage dps will ever be relevant.

I'd say the night of the champion is must have for ironeye. It heals 2% when you counterattack (almost guaranteed heal for most bosses) and increase your maximum stamina.

I've done the calculations, no other relic provides a bigger DPS increase for Ironeye, team composition is irrelevant.
initial standard on bows is such a slower attacks per second the extra damage per hit gets cancelled dps wise by slower frequency of hits

and you should be doing R2s instead, which has a ton more posture damage and dps
