I wouldn't be surprised if From dials back the difficulty for single players in the future, as the current difficulty is going to drive a lot of players away.
I'm having some input issues with my controller for some reason but even then I have soloed some bosses, didn't play as much as I would have due to that but of the few runs I've done I've gotten further every time as I get back in the grove for souls combat and learn the game.
That said I do think the scaling is off. You're basically forced to play a character that didn't level Vigor. That's one thing when you have a team that can revive you and another when playing solo.
The truth is that it is a skill issue. People are just bad expecting the game to give them a crutch to baby them along when it is a souls-like game made by the developers of the souls series. The game is very hard in solo, but is doable.
