Do people genuinly think this is a bad game?

I dont get it, ♥♥♥♥ is mad fun. Me and my friend ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around tryna clap the bosses with a random ass dude running around doing nothing, peak game. Anyone complaining about this must be tweaking, game is just as expected. They should add voice/text chat tho!

Voice chat being missing seems to be a massive thing among the negative reviews. Not that I'm surprised. A game with so much coordination needed missing this feature is the dumbest.

the game has issues, especially for solo play but it is pretty good. i dont get most of the complaints like ''its just reused assets''. almost every souls game after demons souls has some sort of reused mechanic or animation. also the game isnt full price like elden ring, its much cheaper at a more fair price.

I'd say it definitely has issues, especially for solo from the looks of it. There should likely have been more maps at start, better balancing (from what I can pick up on from others' opinions) and such. For solo play it definitely needs adjustments. An option to tweak how expeditions work for solo with plenty of options would likely go a long way there.

While the game has a lot of stuff that can be improved, a lot of complains I've seen are basically people buying an apple while expecting an orange.

The thing is, most people who actually enjoy this game are just playing and having a good time, while most of the ones who don’t even play it are the ones whining online on and on and on.
Just saw a dude with a VAC ban who made like 10 threads trashing the game without even playing it.

Personally I'm having a blast with it. Just did my first solo clear of the first nightlord. You def gotta be super patient with no homies to back you up, lmao.

But on a more serious note. I figured the game wasn't going to be a hit for a big part of the fanbase. I mean these are souls players we're talking about. So It doesn't surprise me they are acting like a bunch of angry ♥♥♥♥ lords. Nor does it surprise me that they have no friends.

The main problem, in my opinion, is that people wanted another souls/elden and not something like this. It has issues, but even if it was perfect they wouldn't like it. FromSoftware is obviously trying to explore another options, and they won't accept anything that's not what they expect from them.

If your friends dont play these games and ur left alone , u basically cant play it , or u have 1 out of 10 times a good game

Most of the hate has come from people who haven't even played it. They dislike it out of principle, not because it's a bad game. Which is why you've seen so much pre release hate, trying to convince people it's a bad game because the reviews weren't 10/10. They want this game to fail as some sort of punishment to Fromsoft.

They are also worried about FOMO. Hating or not liking the new Fromsoft game that everyone else might like and enjoy. So they desperately want everyone else to hate it with them.

For those that have tried it, it seems to be review bombing over a specific feature, like duos and VoIP.
