Elden Ring or Elden Woke? What Happened to the Dark Fantasy?

I never thought I’d see the day where Elden Ring — the pinnacle of dark, brutal storytelling — would start feeling like it was written by a modern HR committee.

Between the preachy undertones, the suspiciously modern-looking character designs, and the sudden injection of moral messages that feel completely out of place in the Lands Between, Shadow of the Erdtree (or should I say, Shadow of the Narrative Agenda) has me wondering: is FromSoftware bowing to the same trends infecting Western games?

I’m not here to scream “woke” at everything, but when the aesthetic and tone of a game like this starts to shift so drastically, it’s fair to ask: who is this DLC really for?

Is this just the cost of mainstream success?

Steam needs a "bait" award that actually costs the receiver one Steam point. Also , this is not a DLC.
