It's so damn interesting and prevelent in comparison to the rest of the game.

Like the whole thing is some inside joke. And now I got to waste my time swiping past the inveitable advertisement of this game thrown at me on youtube and elsewhere for the next few months.
Literally, My exploration... was driven by wanting to see what stupid crap someone wrote on the ground. that's what pushed me forward for as little as it was able to....
And if those grounds signs are not to be taken seriously. WTF ARE THEY THERE? How development much time was spent on this lame ass, trolling, ground signage crap?
That's the experience I walked away with. That outside of reading Finger But Hole. There's Nothing.
Be Honest. You don't actually like Elden Ring as a game. You bought it play it, and elevate it, based on stroking an Gamer Ego about being a Soulser. Sometimes even calling yourselves Orginial Soulser. As long as the game lets you project your FOMO Ego onto other gamers because of "Difficulty", the game can be boring asf.
And....... Compared to Hogwarts, Witcher 3, etc. The graphics in this game feel like PS2 era graphics. Both those games beat this Elden Ring Franchise by miles in pretty much every department except the one. And that one thing, isn't worthy of how much this game gets pushed as the greatest thing to ever happen.
I'd really hate if a Hogwarts Legacy or Witcher, tried to emulate this empty hollow shell of an open world game design, that uses difficulty to fill in all the gaps. And just artificially drag out and drip the content to you like waiting a weak to watch the next episode of a seasonal show.
And George RR Martin is overrated. It's claim to HBO fame was just simply being a Crude Medieval Adult oriented show. Outside of the rediculous violence and sex and borderline pedophilia, it's not really some Magnum Opus of a Story being told that sets itself apart from any other Zombie apocalypse related story.
That just like the Series holding baiting you with seasonal episodes.... dripping the story to you bits at a time...
I almost feel like. By the time I got the whole story of Elden Ring, I'd be just as dissappointed in it as how they decided to end GoT. That the effort to dodge roll past all the health sponges wouldn't provide a worthy enough reward outside of.... "Oh, I finally dodge roll my way through that encounter!"
