Modding potential for solo gameplay without circle of death?
To the people who played this game already, how much potential does this game have beeing modded with some major changes:

Removal of circle of death. Obviously, as a solo guy I'd want to explore every nook and cranny at my own leisure. This would require some sort of save system as the runs could take 10+ hours.

If such a system was implemented, you could basically finish the night as you see fit. Also, even the souls youtubers stated that playing the game solo is unfairly hard, so you'd obviously need to compensate with grinding and finding superior drops.

I'm really not a fan of games such as Fortnite, PUBG and Elden Ring is all about atmosphere and exploration to me. I can imagine the game being fun in coop with randoms...but only for a short while, probably less than 10 hours even.

From Software could create a fleshed out solo mode allowing those features by giving the player a time-stop feature for the ring, making it an official mode, but it seems they're all in with the PUBG system, so I hope modders make something like this instead.

Doubt it. Since that would make it a Solo game. Not sure it would support the same sort of Multi-player mod that ER is able to handle. This has an additional level of DRM in GuardIT. All it has to do is see if EAC is active and that will be the end of that along with bans.

They do have EAC since the game are online but it will not banned you from moddings judging from ER and AC release and mods
Randomizer Nightreign gonna be peak comedy for sure
Why do people want to play this solo? :sakurabeachmomokolaugh: It will get boring fast

This game has an additional, embedded DRM, GuardIT. It is currently unknown what effect it will have if a player disables EAC and/or plays with a modded game. I would not risk it, that's for sure.

To test their limit :)))
Or just don't have any friend to play with or not comfortable with randoms
if they're smart.... they'll keep modding open, it will fix everything wrong, and add things that should have already been in the game to start with, modding makes me optimistic about the game.

Looking at gameplay vids, the game looks awful with randoms and I only have one friend that I could play it with on steam...but he's from the US and the timezone difference is going to make it rough to play more than 1-2 times even if he adds a friend to make it a trio.

There are no command emotes to coordinate to compensate for the lack of chat or map pings either. I'd rather play the game at my own pace than pray to get some mind-readers online, and 45 mins per run is just incredibly short.

In the past souls games, modding was no issue as long as you go offline before installing the mod (settings > start offline > quit game > install mod > play). I played Cinders and Ascended in DS3 and a randomizer in Elden Ring.

As I mentioned, GuardIT is embedded. No way to bypass it or remove it. What was done in past games is totally irrelevant in this situation.

I mean look at ER, u can disable easy anti cheat and mod it, so I'd say we will have all sorts of mods for solo play, who knows, modders might even add seamless coop elements to this one.
Drm says no
