Everyones expectations are way too high
genuinely dont understand why everyone is tweaking, this is the first time since DS2 theyve had a B team develop, why are there so many people either mad or dumbfounded that there is A: reused content and B: that its not some brand new hyper focused souls game. why cant yall just let mfs cook and if you dont like it dont buy it, just dont poison the well with your garbage opinions ruining it for literally everyone else

Now, I may not be the best chef in the kitchen, but one thing I DO know, is using leftovers, is not cooking. That's reheating.
How does valid critique ruin it for you? The game has weak randomization and you're going to notice the pattern really quick. Oh, you didn't know that so now you're going to be annoyed when you notice. Is that how it ruins it for you?

To continue the analogy, leftovers over a decade old are spoiled and you probably shouldn't eat them.

tell that to majoras mask, companies used to do this ♥♥♥♥ all the time and release straight banger spin-offs while they cooked up their actual ip's
games not even out yet and people are hating

None of this matters. Whether someone posts about how the game is good, bad, repetitive. If the game looks interesting to you, play the game. Formulate your own opinion. If YOU like it then great. If YOU dont like it, then it's not the end of the world. General life advise. Experience stuff for yourself and not based on opinions of others

Well that depends. With the right vacuum storage and temperature, and with the proper preservatives applied, with the perfect low moisture amount...

Man, I think you could push 10 years. Yeah.

My biased opinion; however, I played the beta on PS5, I'll keep it straightforward and the the point for anyone on the edge from a long time veteran.

1.) Nightreign fixes the "issue" of the "empty" open world of Elden Ring.
-Therefore, Nightreign has potential to feel like playing a more alive game than Elden Ring itself.

2.) I've been playing Soulslikes since DS1 released. FromSoftware specifically... (Just the ones i've stuck to. THE OG BABY!) Easily my all-time favorite series.
-This game does not miss.

3.) The replay-ability is through the roof, If you loved Elden Ring on your first playthrough, or the second.
-Just imagine how the first play through felt but you can repeat that same feeling over and over and over. It's going to feel fresh every single run, each run is essentially a rapid play through, that won't be the same as the last.

4.) fast paced not your style? Don't wanna feel "Rushed?..."
Nightreign may not be your style.

I think everyone is going nuts that they all think certain things are the standard. People are complaining about no ultrawide, it isn't made for it. I have an ultrawide, and 1920 is fine. Everyone thinks 144 is the standard, which is insane. Everyone is mad about no crossplay, which while it is lame, is not 100% expected in every game. Everyone is losing their mind that a double A game is not literally the greatest game ever made.

We all knew what this was from the very beginning.

no, more along the lines of i know i will enjoy this game and im afraid of the loud voices of the few dictating the fate of the game. more importantly what was everyone truly expecting from a 40 dollar B team spinoff?
