Co-op Friendship
I am looking for a teammate that we can play the whole game in Co-op mode each other.

You can add me if you think.

I don't think you understand clearly what this game is about. Might want to look more closely into it. :)

I meant we can play for bosses and help each other like the previous game.

I say that due to the release game will NOT have a two player mode. So you will need two additional 'friends' if you don't want to play with randoms.

There is also no "...whole game..." to play through. It is a shrinking-playfield type game with three rounds. Zone and enemies are drawn from previous souls games and randomly modified each round. A complete game lasts for 40 minutes, and then win or lose, it is done. Some stuff carries over to subsequent games, but not Levels or Gear.

Look at it like a small scale PvE version of Player Unknown Battleground using Souls assets and you will have a pretty clear idea of the game.

Honestly, I realized I hadn’t fully looked into the game. But now, thanks to your informative post and the YouTube videos I watched, I can say I finally understand it properly.

It seems like it could change the perspective on Souls-like games, but I really hope it doesn’t become boring. The shrinking zone within 40 minutes, along with natural disasters like meteor strikes, volcanic eruptions, or even swarms of bugs—honestly, that kind of stuff does worry me a little. It kind of feels like dying in PUBG to someone who’s just looted and camped inside a house.

You either play solo or as a team of three. Playing as a trio sounds more fun. So how exactly are the two random teammates found? Do you place a co-op sign in-game, or does it all happen through the lobby?

Joining up with two or three other players is done through a 'Password' system. Then you queue up and go into the game. Pretty simple and clean. Do not yet know how well it will work, though.

If you want random players, then you either queue alone and get two randoms, or you and a linked (via the Password system) queue and get one random player.

I see. It sounds simple, but hopefully, they’ve built the database properly. Honestly, instead of making this a standalone game, they could’ve just added it as a DLC to Elden Ring. The $25 price tag kind of makes that obvious too.

Can you believe I’m just learning the actual content of the game three days before release? I really wasn’t expecting this type of gameplay, to be honest. Hopefully, it turns out to be good.

I think having just one map and doing the same actions repeatedly will hurt the game’s longevity. But if they add content later on—like maybe a new map—it could keep the game alive.

By the way, are the bosses random? Actually, instead of bosses, I think having 3v3 battles in the main area against other players could’ve taken the game to a different level. A kind of duel system where each player is matched up against an opponent could’ve also been interesting.

At this time, the single Play-Field that will be there at launch is randomized somewhat for each game and round within the game. Same with the enemies and Bosses.

I would expect some additional content, IF the game is successful enough to justify the development and maintenance costs.

What I would not expect to see are additional play modes or arenas or anything like that. I think the Shrinking-Playfield, three round, fixed Race/Gender/Class game is what NR will remain.

I’d be happy to add you as a friend. I haven’t had the chance to try the beta yet, but hopefully you can teach me a few tricks.

He could be asking if you are located somewhere close to him, because if you play on a server far away from him, his connection is gonna make playing together a bad experience otherwise.

I got him right now. My location at Europe. I will play the game in European servers.
