It's not PvP -- what would it matter?... Unless it's just to gate content that they want used as busywork playtime padding and/or for DLC fleecing.

Crossplay should be implemented but only for passworded sessions. You won't cheat playing with your friend.

Crossplay can be an option that is enabled or disabled at player's will. They should bring crossplay and put it on settings for player to choose if its enabled or disabled. Even helldivers 2 has it this way.

Good thing for PC players; cross-play with console usually means you get trash players on your team for games like Helldivers so I would not be surprised if the same would be true for this game too.

stop being whiteknight they obviously didnt do it because they didnt wanted to put in the effort to make it compatible and working.
Fromsoft already generally has problems with online play for them implementing crossplay was like trying to beat radahn SL1
