Only 4 playable characters on release?

"Pre-order the Collector, Seekers or Deluxe Edition to gain access to the expansion, including new playable characters and bosses that will be revealed at a later date."

Does it mean the other 4 characters would be locked behind the DLC? What if I would have the DLC and my friends won't, does it mean we won't be able to fight new bosses?
I had my doubts about the game, but I still had enough trust in FROM Software to make a pre-order. But these news really make me question my decisions.
I applied for refund. I will buy the game after release only if it turns out to be really good and not the stripped edition that I now think it will be on release.

No. 8 classes. It says meet four "of" the nightfarers. There are more.

How the DLC is gonna be handled is something nobody knows yet so we gonna have to wait and see.

I mean it even says it will offer characters that will be revealed at a later date lol

I know about 8 classes, however it seems like only 4 classes will be available on release. And among those 4 classes only 2 classes from the playtest, why not release classes that are already prepared. We'll see how it looks on release

So technically the recluse, since her ult marks bosses or mobs and each time you or an ally hit them you gain health back.

The network test had the 4 characters (classes) Recluse, Duchess, Wilder, And Guardian.

Raider, Ironeye, Executioner and the last one was just announced as we don't know her name just yet, that's all 8 will be added to the game when the game launches.


As for the DLC, they said new ones will be added later.

But you are objectively wrong. There is no "we'll see later", we know there are 8 classes in the base game.

We can see her few seconds in the trailer using the halo scythe. So i guess she is a holy character, potentially a healer :)

We already know this is incorrect. I'm all for not preordering games. But I have to say getting a refund on a whim based on unsubstantiated assumptions when there is tons of proof the assumptions were wrong is pretty odd.

There is literally nothing online to suggest that anything you said is even remotely true though.
