I want to buy the game but.. (Lack of cross-play discussion)

The game is pure three player matchmaking aside from the solo option. Without cross-play, Nightreign is gonna be pretty dead few years after it's final DLC. In Elden Ring, the original game, I can hardly get three people to run through an area. Sometimes I wait for a third player for a while until the first person I summoned runs out of patience by proceeding forward, or other times they will just return to their world.

I'm not sure what they were thinking to release a multiplayer game without cross-play.

And although there is a solo option, they said it was added due to the feedback that was received. This game is not designed with the solo option in mind and I can't imagine it being the option I select unless my internet is out or matchmaking gets stuck at 2/3 for 15+ mins.

im playing it with 2 friends so as long as the servers are on it wont be dead for everyone

altho i agree that nightreign not having crossplay sucks, i also dont think that its in the same situation as elden ring for the simple reason that elden ring is not ment to be played coop, on the pc the mod that allows continuous gameplay with others is hard carrying the online gameplay of elden ring, but on the other side, nightreign is a multiplayer focused game so imo even if there isnt crossplay the game will not die that easily. simply because playing online is the main point of the game itself
