fromsoft don't do cross platform, they got enough trouble dealing with cheaters on pc as is, they don't want it infecting console players, too

It is uncommon because it's a huge pain in the ass, and PSN or Xbox will ban you completely if you are found out to be editing game files. As it is, the worst you can see on console is a simple save file edit - huge HP pool, large amounts of items etc. Harmless stuff.

Those types of cheats you might encounter on console are nothing compared to what is happening on PC. Crashing your game, ruining your save file, putting you in endless freefall loop... all stuff happening on PC and not able to do on console

never seen it once when i played the souls games on console years ago, as soon as i jumped over to the pc side it was cheating everywhere. worst case you'll see is people using exploits. you can play on console for a decade and not see a single hacker, the reason? they get banned so quickly it'll have them rethink their life.

and not just their profile gets banned, their entire xbox/ps gets banned, so they would have to buy a whole new system to hack again lol. that's why it's nonexistent
