How do I get my friends to buy this?

I'm really exited about this game, but how on earth do I get friends that don't play Elden Ring to pick this up?

The price is not even that bad, but they all go. "Looks good but it's a bit to much for co-op." Or something along those lines.
And grabbing 3 copies is a bit steap for me.

Any good sale arguments?
Shame really, not the type of game I will pick up just to lobby with random people.

I'd say see if they play anything similar and make a general recomendation like that. Otherwise wait for release, if its well received and seeing good numbers they might get more curious.

Just had a look and the price is too steep for me, if they have a 40% off sale that would be the sweet spot for me.

Tell your friend to wishlist it and wait a year maybe we will have a decent sale on it. Just looking at SteamDB it seems the original Elden Ring had a 40% off sale last December so hopefully this will also get that at some point.

Elden Ring released in Feb 2022 and in December 2022 Gamersgate had it for 37% off, then in July 2023 they ran the 37% sale again. October 2023 multiple sites ran 40% off pricing for it.

I think either this December or next July you should be able to get it for a decent price, just wait it out. Hopefully by then they will have brought out some content updates for it too.

If your friends don't want to play, then they don't want to play. That's really all you can do is ask if they'd be willing to get it and play. If they refuse, you can respect their decision.

Well theres hoping, but seems we all are picking up Monster Hunter.
So maybe when that dies off.
