I like Soulsborne Games and Soulslike because of the Story and here you just slayin Enemys so for me its not really worth it
From that video its clear that Nightreign does two things much better than any Fromsoft souls game: First you can refight bosses without having to start a new game or being summoned to another players world. Second you can play with friends or randos without being inhibited by a summon system.
There are still questions about matchmaking with 2 players or how smooth it is to rejoin if a player DCs cuz of momentary internet issues.
What you have to consider is that fromsoft fans include both people whose first game is Elden Ring and people who have been there from the start. The old guard are more likely the ones to be upset about a game that is different from what they're used to.
Cancel the preorder and check it out on release.
Always the best idea.
You can often get pre-orders at discounted prices from other websites. The downside is you can't get a refund from Steam if you didn't directly purchase the game from Steam.
