ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

Ignore the rage bait brothers \[T]/
I've noticed just in the discussions and in some other places quite a few people complaining that the game isn't worth the 40 buck, asset flip, that kinda thing. We don't know how big the game is yet. We got a DEMO, with ONE of eight final bosses, so at the very least the Network Test was less than a third of the full game. If your unsure about getting the game, wait till release, try it, and return it if you don't like it.

Fromsoft hasn't messed up before and I doubt they will now, really doesn't make sense if you use some braincells (also the net test for ER was half of Limgrave, so very very small compared to the full game)

Risk of Rain 2 with Elden Ring theme, can't go wrong IMO. Combine my 2 favourite genres: souls games and roguelikes

I ask 1 question for my purchase : is it fun?

I believe it will be very fun
I played the network test and I loved every second of it. People who complain never have a valid argument lol. I’ve spoken to several and it’s always the same thing “this is trash and a lazy cash grab”.

If you like Roguelikes, try Barony. c:

It will get stale fast. It doesn't carry as many roguelike elements Risk of Rain has.

Hey, since you work for Fromsoft, could you give us early access to the game?

Oh wait, you don't work for them. So you tell me, how does it not have as many roguelike elements as Risk of Rain?

By not having any real unlockables between runs, one of the most important things in a roguelike. I asked this question in a thread and network playtesters said there's one passive slot you can fill with a relic. That's it more or less.

Compare with Risk of Rain series:
-Unlockable characters (not bought)
-Unlockable items in several Tiers behind challenges
-During gameplay, you also have more control over the difficulty and drops by how long you stay in stages

So there is a very clear difference. If re-runs have this little customization for roguelike, that's concerning.

I mean we've only seen a stripped down version with no vendor, 4 characters, and 2 random seeds so all that stuff is yet to be seen

I'm not worried! If it sucks it sucks. If it doesn't, fantastic

Oh just checked and only 8 "new" final bosses? Seems so little to be honest.
Elden ring had +200 and the DLC +80

I expected way more.

And also only 8 character classes to begin is very few, considering the low-bar to create extra classes, as all play vanilla plus the attribute build + two unique abilities.

Games like marvel rivals started with what, 33 characters? and F2P.

I'll buy it anyway, value will be good enough, but it's no longer a no brainer purchase..

I agree. Warriors Orochi 4 have 170 characters and costs only $20 more. What a lazy mod.

8 Final bosses, which would equate to remembrance bosses of which there were only 11 in the DLC. And we have yet to see all of those who are not end bosses, there may be considerably more.

Also IDK about the low bar argument, you could say that about a crap ton of games, even within this genre. Hades only had 6 weapons, why not 30?

Well number of characters really doesn't matter, all 8 have stats based for certain builds, and then you've got the 200 something weapons, that's pretty customizable.
Plus Marvel Rivals is a complete different game, not really a comparison.

So me and my friends can look forward to the release :3. I trust Fromsoftware and what I saw in the demo was fun!

Marvel Rivals is filled to brim with MTX. They just disabled mods and laid off a bunch of people despite raking in profit.

Only cosmetic MTX in a FTP game aint weird, price is another thing, but those could also be seen as part donation in show of support. And you will rarely have to pay full store price for the skins as you actually get a good amount of premium currency just by playing, more than one would expect.
