I ask 1 question for my purchase : is it fun?
I believe it will be very fun
If you like Roguelikes, try Barony. c:
Hey, since you work for Fromsoft, could you give us early access to the game?
Oh wait, you don't work for them. So you tell me, how does it not have as many roguelike elements as Risk of Rain?
Compare with Risk of Rain series:
-Unlockable characters (not bought)
-Unlockable items in several Tiers behind challenges
-During gameplay, you also have more control over the difficulty and drops by how long you stay in stages
So there is a very clear difference. If re-runs have this little customization for roguelike, that's concerning.
I'm not worried! If it sucks it sucks. If it doesn't, fantastic
Elden ring had +200 and the DLC +80
I expected way more.
And also only 8 character classes to begin is very few, considering the low-bar to create extra classes, as all play vanilla plus the attribute build + two unique abilities.
Games like marvel rivals started with what, 33 characters? and F2P.
I'll buy it anyway, value will be good enough, but it's no longer a no brainer purchase..
8 Final bosses, which would equate to remembrance bosses of which there were only 11 in the DLC. And we have yet to see all of those who are not end bosses, there may be considerably more.
Also IDK about the low bar argument, you could say that about a crap ton of games, even within this genre. Hades only had 6 weapons, why not 30?
Plus Marvel Rivals is a complete different game, not really a comparison.
Marvel Rivals is filled to brim with MTX. They just disabled mods and laid off a bunch of people despite raking in profit.
Only cosmetic MTX in a FTP game aint weird, price is another thing, but those could also be seen as part donation in show of support. And you will rarely have to pay full store price for the skins as you actually get a good amount of premium currency just by playing, more than one would expect.
