ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

Cautiously excited.
So just watched iron pineapples video today.

Firstly I am excited for the potential. With limited play time in a day for me and my friends the fixed runs work well for us. ( Kind of like a set of missions in helldivers 2) in general I prefer the slow exploring but this could be fun. Couple of concerns and curious if these answers exists yet or if I just missed them. (An very tired writing this lol)

1) how long is a full run going to be and how variable is it? A solid hour seems good but hard to say.

2) replayability is a concern. How randomized are the loot spots and enemy verity for example.

3) the net code and reconnecting needs to be really good or I won't bother at all. Doesn't matter if the game is a 10 out of 10. The connections need to be great.

Also, while this game isn't going to be for everyone and a lot of souls fans won't like this, don't feed the trolls that are just making outlandish claims. All games need to be criticized and no one should be a mindless fanboy or mindless hater.

You can give your opinion without being rude or exaggerating.

Have a fun day everyone!

And yet it's still their most played game even right now.
Hell, even though there is no sale going on right now it's still in the top 50 top sellers right now and it almost has 1 million positive reviews (counting ALL reviews).
just because something is "most played" does not mean its overrated. By your logic overrated games like fortnight and minecraft are like the best games out there due to how "most played" they are. Also reviews lol you really take steam reviews seriously XD majority of them are meme reviews bashing a game or blindly supporting without criticism. ER is a good game but its in no way a ground breaking experience. Previous souls like games had more life and better bosses than ER. The only ER bosses I liked were Bayle, Radagon, Rennala, Melenea, bell bearing hunter, morgott, and mohg. The dlc especially got trashed on with the amount of padding the devs put in the game for that terrible fragment level up system and how badly optimized it is.
I'm just saying, where are those people you were speaking of? Cause what you said is not being reflected anywhere. The playerbase is still big. The reviews didn't change. The DLC was still a best-seller. People are still making videos about it. People are still talking about it.

I'll definitely give you people not being fond of the DLC though. Havent even touched it myself tbh.

I'm also nowhere saying that it being the most successfull game means it is also their best game. To me that is Bloodborne.

people normally dont care to change their reviews and move on to other games. lots dont like to be open with ER fans about their critism due to the obsessed side of the fanbase getting so sensitive over an opinion. But you will find a lot of people like myself dont like the open world aspect of the game but like everything else like main bosses, some optional bosses (dont like how they rehashed tho), dungeons, castles. There is 1 thing I noticed more about bosses here compared to previous souls games the amount of combo spamming they feel like bosses that are designed for sekiros deflect mechanic forcing extreme passive play or something cheesy like ashes of war, bleed, poison, mimic tear ect. I prefer to solo play dex or strength. Theres just nothing in the open world part of the world worth exploring. No dynamic events, barely any points of interest, side quests are still fetch quests. the game the videos you speak of are mainly related ER pvp aspect. Again just because is something is popular doesnt mean its not overrated. And Im not saying overrated as its a bad game, just not groundbreaking. Honestly i would have liked ER open world a lot if random events could happen, you can find other tarnished npc fighting the enemies, some sort of a bounty system for hunting the optional bosses, more points of interest to explore and discover, better side quests. These weak aspects of the world just make my like the other souls likes over this. To sum it up, I DONT HATE the game I really dont. I hate the dlc but not the base game.
