ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

Kernel Level Easy Anti-Cheat - FromSoftware's First Major L
Doesn't inspire confidence in me about this title seeing the store page saying this uses Easy Anti-Cheat. And not only that, but a version of Easy Anti-Cheat that doesn't uninstall when you uninstall the game.

Yeah I’m also worried about that, I don’t want to install my first fromsoft game with malware

Jesus Christ, thank god I've seen that before I bought it. Hard pass for me, thanks FromSoftware.

You sure? The store page says nothing about it.
That's the only thing that stoped me from buying the game, I will wait for news on whether it even runs on Linux now...

Technologies:eac and eso

The way people get their save-files hacked is by Linux users bypassing EAC...

Thats also a lie as someone who works with bypassing anticheats 99% of anti cheats are bypassed on windows. I dont know what bs youve been fed or if youre an EA op because ea hates linux (killed linux support and apex still 8 months later is hackers non stop) is wild. Its not hard to bypass eac especially on windows hell you can dummy file eac in every game if you know what youre doing. Also not to mention its EASIER to bypass on windows cause youd have to do additional work to make sure proton wouldnt trip anything on linux if you were to do so.

uneducated ea user believes linux is the reason something like that could happen, bro if it happened from linux there is 10000% chance it happens on windows more often and frequent and it was designed on windows lmao.

Yeah, I'm aware of that last part, if ER already uses EAC, then I can be more confident that From won't intentionally block Linux out with EAC on this one. But I will still wait for confirmation, better safe than sorry. (Oh and thx for the info).

I, too, can make up lies on the internet.

Source? Because I'm pretty sure you'd brick your machine if you did that with your kernal level EAC (not talking disabling, you wouldn't be able to go online if you disabled).

It's not a lie, lol. EAC at the kernal level does not function properly in several versions of proton and has not been patched. It's very easy to change the server-based constants and manipulate saves from there.

There's a reason you can't play Apex Legends on the steam deck...

Just guessing neither of you know what you're talking about and moving on from here.

That doesn't matter. Maybe he was thinking of getting the game because he thought this game might fix the issues that stopped him from wanting to play the previous titles? Maybe he owns the previous titles on console? Maybe he has them on an alt account? Who knows. None of that matters though. I'd hate to be you when you find out this is going to be a live-service game that doesn't have your best interests at heart.
