Remember Blood Build humble beginnings. In Demon's Souls it was a very weak DoT that was only a little extra if you chose to go Morning Star over other bludgeon onehanders.
Dark Souls made it okayish, but it really only started to shine in Dark Souls III and Elden Ring. It did get a nerf, though.
My guess is if you want to go Blood Build, you need to get very lucky with the drops and also have the right relics / passives to make it good.
There's relics to have bleed built-in any weapon, so it's pretty easy. And with that any bleed weapon gets extra bleed build ups. Then two wielding would double that. Ganking adds to that.
It's not really all that about luck. And blood wasn't nerfed that much in ER. In pvp it still builds up over i-frames xD
Frost and bleed meta ! Never seen before! So refreshing!
By this logic, Elden Ring is just Rivers of Blood spam, Dark Souls 3 is nothing but straight sword R1s, and Bloodborne is basically "press L2 with the Whirligig Saw." If you willingly ignore everything else because “not optimal,” that’s not the game’s fault that’s just you speedrunning boredom.
Like, imagine going to a buffet and only eating bread rolls because they have the best calorie-to-effort ratio. Sure, you can do that, but don’t act like the rest of the food doesn’t exist.
