worse then ubisoft is crazy, and also ds3 had purchasable dlc on release too, and this is literally a filler game, a game to give us something to play, while miyazaki works on the next actual souls game with a different team.

First you pay 40$. And play.

Then you pay 15$ for new bosses and 1 class. And play.

Then for Christmas they ask you hey do you like more boss ? Another 15?

And so on. This is the idea. And if you buy then they will do this even for new titles like Elden Ring 2, or new Bloodbourne etc.

I am done explain you. This is no different than loot box. New boss - pay. New class - pay. Sooner or later pay for new armor, new talisman, new incantation and new spell. We have watched how these greedy tactics evolve before. But they lead only to chapter 11 bankruptcy because people dont like such cash grab. And also quality always falls from a cliff when greedy devs. Example just look at Blizzard

You're right about it being the end of FromSoft, but it's on purpose, not a mistake they'd have to "recover" from.

And with strong competitors who will become even stronger with their next titles, like Lies of Pi and Wukong, instead of ramping up their efforts against strong competition, From Soft is headed the wrong way. Straight to the sewers actually with Nightreign

yes you pay 40 dollars for the base game, then later a dlc will release and you will be able to buy it, and how do you know fromsoft will go down the route of continually releasing paid content, like did you look into the future or something

Not into the future. I just needed to look into the past and see lots of failed studios who wanted to grab cash quick and easy
