It's a game. If you like it, then good! enjoy it to your hearts content, but most people that say the game is bad have that undertone that make you feel bad for liking the game because the game is "bad" or is in a decline, which I don't think this game is at all.
Also, Imma be honest, I was kind of annoyed and super tired when I posted that last night, legit don't even why I did it, I don't even like arguing online LMAO. This is pretty stupid, online arguments lead nowhere, so let's just say agree to disagree, ye?
This isn't the company who's games I once enjoyed. Why should I just sit there and go "um yeah agree to disagree bro".
Nah. This ain't it.
Understandable. Have le good day.
This game is not the same as Elden Ring THANKFULLY.
Anyone who thinks so has not put enough time and effort into actually seeing what this game has to offer. It's going to be better than Elden Ring in a lot of ways, Elden Ring is a very weak "Souls like" game and this is getting closer to the original souls formula, with new RPG elements that resemble classic RPGs.
We should be buying this game to show them this is what we want, not more of Elden Ring which was a step in the wrong direction for FromSoftware. It was only popular because people who never played a Dark Souls game discovered it and it was marketed it people who don't play Dark Souls games. It doesn't mean it's a good "souls like" title.
So, a quick looking at your profile are you enjoying Smite 2? Though, it's pretty much the same assets, right? I know what you're gonna say this is a free to play game, but they were charging 30 i believe during a "Beta" period. What is new in smite 2 that isn't in smite one?
There are a few new bosses and we getting a boss from DS3 as a night boss. Characters are all new.
I'm all for you not wanting to support, but this is a passion project. I wouldn't say soulless or even cheap made, nor even a cash grab.
Whats wrong with a guy given the chance to direct a spin off?
"Towards the end of the development of Elden Ring, Miyazaki approached me: 'Wouldn't it be interesting to try being a director soon?'
I was in charge with all the battles in Elden Ring at the time and i was thinking that it would be interesting to create a game with battles that had a larger flow based on battles in Elden Ring - so i decided to do it"
This is Junya Ishizaki first go at directing a game, let him try to cook.
Piggybacking off ER? You know he's a veteran and has been at FS for years? He's worked on everyone's beloved BloodBorne, and other souls games, and he worked on ER. In his words as i posted above he worked on the elden ring battles, all of the them. He just wanted to see what ER Battles that had a larger flow to them was, and so thats how Nightreign came about.
This isn't his attempt at his own IP, he clearly just wanted to see what a large flow battle would be. He got the A-Okay from Miya to do this passion project, cause at the end of the day, it's a passion project. If you don't want to support his project, don't. It's completely fine.
I see the price for the game fair as well. Regardless what others think. There's a lot of content worth the price and getting to network test the game, i really think it's fair.
However, if it's simply ER in a rogue-like skin, and people play it and do with as they did ER, it can certainly justify being a costed game. Time will tell...
