It's clear that From have started milking Elden Ring just like they've milked the "souls" formula to death by now.

If their next game is another "souls" style experience, I'm probably going to bow out. At least we have Phantom Blade Zero and Tides of Annihilation to look forward to.

You know, people had this same argument about Dark Souls 3. "It's just the original Dark Souls! There's even locations from the original Dark Souls in it! Look how they just copy/paste everything now!" but turns out, Dark Souls 3 was their best souls-like. Elden Ring is a close second, but we all know Armored Core 4 was their best game ever created.

If you think you're the first to think copy/paste items and locations makes the game bad, then you're just objectively incorrect. Fromsoft is only company that seem to be the masters at reusing old assets. Like the Greatsword in Elden Ring, it's just a slightly edited texture from the original Dark Souls one.

Like do you expect them to just not include any items from a previous game? Have absolutely no basis for any weapons or spells to work with and just start from a clean slate? I guess you're fine with Avowed only having 7 different enemy types then. You should also stop playing POE2 since it's just a copy/paste of the first game.
