ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

Game is gonna be PAINFUL with randoms, you better get some friends
Watching streamers' last session shows how horrible the runs are when you don't have strong team coordination. Skillful players eating complete dirt very quickly because the mobs and minibosses have super bloated HP bars and hit super hard, while teammates were doing god knows what and dying all the time.

Yep, that was my impression watching a streamer play. This is not a game worth bothering with unless you have a couple of friends to play it with.
So pretty much every single multiplayer game ever? lol

Every game can get easier with team effort but some games are more enjoyable with randoms than others.

So what even is your point here?
Randoms can make a game both better AND worse. You are literally willing to play with random strangers over the internet. That is to be expected and it is not exclusive to this game.

It's a universal thing that applies to every online game. Every. Single. One.
Bros denying the BASIC reality that some co-op games are more painful with randoms than others, and this one will be on the more painful side of the spectrum. Imma block the trolls I think.

Yeah i've played 1 game with randoms and it was really hard...
You really need some friends or at least vocal like discords for Dark and darker or GTFO.
What's funny is that I'm not even pretending like this is entirely a bad thing. Game will be pain with randoms, but it looks like it will be rewarding with a team of friends too. I'm just pointing out a basic fact but the fanboys can't take it.

They are all equally as bad/good depending on the actual playerbase.
Even with systems in check to prevent people from trolling they will always find a way to ruin your game.

Man the internet really did some damage to this generation. The second someone disagrees with anyone the first thing they yell is "troll! blocked!".
Just say you wanna live in an echo-chamber and move on lol

Uh no, they are not equally good/bad. There's a spectrum to this. You mad coping, and I actually never blocked anyone due to disagreements but you flood every thread with the worst possible counterarguments while never adressing any good points and wasting everyone's time. It's too much.
Farewell buddy.

At this point, I expect all of the same network exploits will be in nightreign. Playing with randoms is asking for it.

If you don't have a crew to jump in with, you might see some funky stuff once the hackers are done poking thoroughly with wireshark and writing up scripts.
From my time playing the network test yeah, but more often than not my groups were sticking together, taking turns "following the leader."

The worst was when one player would diverge from the group, dying over and over until they leave the session, dooming me and the other player once the boss of the night came.

I hope whatever metaprogression there is in the full game will be enough to soften the blow of having ♥♥♥♥♥♥ teammates every now and then, and not having crossplay with PS5 will definitely help.

I had to stop watching Legendary Drops last night because bro was being noob stomped all the time and he wasn't even bothering to use the character skills while chat was giving him tips, it was infuriating.
sound like a comment from someone who's never played other co-op games honestly. try monster hunter, helldivers, darktide you can all play these with randoms even on hardest difficulties.

obviously it'll be a bit of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the first few days when no one knows much, but it doesn't take long at all for players to get up to speed in these kinda games especially with all the resources available on the internet

In some co-op games the noobs can be carried more easily than others. Other games require more tactical co-operation. There is variation in this aspect of co-op gaming.

Is this that difficult to understand? I already made this point 3 times and nobody can argue with it, you just repeat "but all co-op games are like that".

which co-op games can't be done by randoms then? i'd argue that kinda design would be a good way to kill your game and is certainly not a thing with more popular titles.

looking at the limited gameplay footage we have and feedback from testers there's no reason to say this will be an exceptional problematic game for randoms
