Randoms can make a game both better AND worse. You are literally willing to play with random strangers over the internet. That is to be expected and it is not exclusive to this game.
It's a universal thing that applies to every online game. Every. Single. One.
You really need some friends or at least vocal like discords for Dark and darker or GTFO.
Even with systems in check to prevent people from trolling they will always find a way to ruin your game.
Man the internet really did some damage to this generation. The second someone disagrees with anyone the first thing they yell is "troll! blocked!".
Just say you wanna live in an echo-chamber and move on lol
Farewell buddy.
If you don't have a crew to jump in with, you might see some funky stuff once the hackers are done poking thoroughly with wireshark and writing up scripts.
The worst was when one player would diverge from the group, dying over and over until they leave the session, dooming me and the other player once the boss of the night came.
I hope whatever metaprogression there is in the full game will be enough to soften the blow of having ♥♥♥♥♥♥ teammates every now and then, and not having crossplay with PS5 will definitely help.
obviously it'll be a bit of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the first few days when no one knows much, but it doesn't take long at all for players to get up to speed in these kinda games especially with all the resources available on the internet
Is this that difficult to understand? I already made this point 3 times and nobody can argue with it, you just repeat "but all co-op games are like that".
looking at the limited gameplay footage we have and feedback from testers there's no reason to say this will be an exceptional problematic game for randoms
