ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

not worth the money
i can safely say that this mediocre roguelite / elden ring modded game is not looking good for what i have seen the roguelite elements are rudimentary at best and the game just feels like elden ring all over again

a lot of my friends were hyped but once they saw the beta test it was just running around and beating mobs and bosses that we already did 10 times so yeah will pick up the game when its at 20 bucks

Not worth my time. I wait for their next non-coop souls like.

My man exactly what I've been arguing all week. Game looks cool but basic, and all these mobs and bosses were already reused a lot in the base game, the rehash problem has been pointed out since 2022 and they are doubling down here. $20 would be almost reasonable, $40 is a joke.

Bandai namco is high on the elden ring money. I fear that from software will no longer have creative liberties with their games and developement cycle.

Why is that your conclusion? Nightreign is a creative liberty; it's an experiment, a "let's try something different with our formula and see if it works", you don't get to do these kinds of thing if a publisher is doubling down and only interested in the next cash-in (that kind of publisher philosophy would see an Elden Ring 2 rushed out within a year).
40$ for this is way too much ngl, idk what they thought they were doing with a 40$ mod for elden ring. 20$ sounds fair to me

It is a creative liberty but it doesn't mean anything if they are not putting a single dime into making it an actually stand alone game. I like what the game director came up with at a conceptual level, but at the execution level they could've easily pay a team of 3 skilled modders to make this. Game is cheap AF and charging $40 is lunacy.

If it is of any consolation, they are 100% making more Armored Core in the future and this game looks SO cheap to make that they didn't divert a significant amount of resources from the more serious future projects.

So how much did it cost precisely to make this game? You seem to know it all so please, enlighten us.

How much did it cost? How many people were actively working on it? How much is actually reused?
Precisely which 3 modders do you have in mind for a task like this and how long would it take them? How much would it cost them?

Come on. Go ahead.

Bro alot of people say that it looks like a mod and there is even some rookie mistakes that modders make in the network test like 2 handed greatsword having the walk animation of a 1 handed straightsword so the game doesnt scream high budget/quality game like all others fromsoft games

LMAO bro give up the copium. Are you blind? Other than the 3 headed wolf boss (which reuses some assets BTW) and the main character designs, there's not a single new asset on sight. It's not just the heavy asset reuse, it's the lack of new stuff that would signal they put any costly resources into it.

Even youtubers with clear conflict of interest like Iron Pineapple had to be honest and say straight up this is a fancy mod that could've been made by fans.

And a lot of people keep buying CoD every single year. I dont care what those people say.

And all the other FromSoft games had hilarious/stupid/terrible bugs and glitches, especially on release. That's nothing new and that is to be expected.

LMAO I saw that too, the Zweihander which is a colossal was being carried as a straight sword by the dutchess.

The fanboy cope is off the chart with this game. Having like barely 1% of new assets is the biggest red flag possible and they're like "b-but d-doont u know asset reuse is common??"
