This is gonna flop so hard
No character creation. Battle royale gameplay. no story. reused assets galore. DLC before launch, no crossplay. Hell even the network test was a complete fiasco. what the hell were they thinking??? literally NO ONE asked for this. people wanted a cool little story + seamless coop and invasions. they were in the catbird seat and dropped the ball.

and i'm afraid that if you buy the deluxe you wont get all the content they're making. knowing bandai namco they will split it into smaller dlcs just to make a quick buck. just like they did in tekken when the people that brought the deluxe edition were scammed out of the stages that were suposed to come with the characters.

its DOA :happy_seagull:

We are back to the pre Elden Ring arguments. These arguments don't change, just the username posting them.

And gamers wonder why nothing changes. People buy the same AAA low effort products, and the producers continue pumping them out. Another day, more of the same.
It won't flop. People will gobble up everything fromsoft releases these days.

Just because the baker has changed out a few ingredients and experimented with a few others and you no longer like the flavor doesn't mean it's low effort.

Maybe your taste buds have been damaged by the competition or maybe you're allergic to some ingredients, but more people than ever before liked the last batch, so much so, the baker can now afford to give everyone an 11% raise and hire more people.

Best to just find a new baker or maybe bake your own stuff as you may never be satisfied.

sales don't matter. The player base consistency after 6 months or a year matters. profits don't matter long term brand does. Also faith in a company like this matters. If people start losing faith casuals aren't going to carry the games. Elden ring brought a lot of new members to the fromsoft gaming community, if nightreign the next game flops it can damage future sales of games that are actually worth the price.

The reason dark souls games are considered great is because 10 years later pvpers, streamers, and speed runners kept it alive. This is why those games are good not because of sales. If you look at only sales at the beginning of dark souls 1 it was kinda a flop.

What businesses consider a flop isn't the players didn't like it. It is it didnt bring MORE money in than the previous game.

If you read my entire post you would understand. However i know that most people today find it hard to read more a sentence and sometimes its really hard for people to read and understand words that haven't been compacted down into more than 3 letters for a sentence but i beg of please try to read.

nah, not gonna bother reading a post that starts with that

the very definition of a flop hinges on whether a product sold enough or not

Then don't bother responding to it. Do you want a cookie because you refuse to read and understand?

Do you want one because you questioned something you didn't understand when the post answers it in like 2 sentences? Who are you trying to impress with your rhetorical posts? That add nothing and just point out how i was right?

You don't even understand how corporations work do you?

no, but if you want to be taken seriously, don't start a post saying sales don't matter in a thread about whether game is gonna flop or not

Literally the only thing that determines a flop is whether it made profit or not.

Corporations don't care about your opinions of the longevity of a product as long as it was profitable.

You seem to be confusing popularity with profit.
