ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN

Is this game a sign of what's to come fromsoftware?
DLC announced before the game released.
Classes locked behind a deluxe edition.
Online only game.

What's next? we are going to see micro-transactions too? why is every studio that made a bit of success wants to shoots itself in the foot instead of doing what it's been good at?

please hang your hate coat and get cozy with friends bro. this may be a pve multiplayer experience which i dont know another installment of. yeah they build uber reputation in the last years but everyone will watch closely if it is "a new era" will they milk whales? will they ♥♥♥♥ over their reputation for money? we will see. BUT if it is a nice game and will be a mix between overwatchish/elden ring we all are going to have a blast.
yes the first signs are alarming but we will see what it is after launch so as always dont preorder if you own a hate coat

You can play solo and no classes or bosses are actively locked with the deluxe edition.

it clearly says in the description of the deluxe that classes will be locked.

They are part of the upcoming DLC. The DLC is part of the deluxe edition but can also be purchase seperately once it releases (as is the case with every DLC).

So my points still stand you gotta cough up more to access all the content the game has to offer.

Well there is a huge difference between content actively being locked behind a way more expensive deluxe edition and being locked behind an actual DLC.

Which, btw, was the case with DS 1, 2, 3, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. Just in case people forgot.

Yeah.
It is. Elden Ring was already a warning sign. In alot of ways.

But tbh this is alot worse than I expected.

Or its someone wanted to try something, they were not allotted a ton of man power or resource and their art team was minimal as the main team is working on something bigger, which we do know is happening because Miyazaki himself said he was not working on anything Elden Ring and its known he only green-lit this, he isn't actually working on it.

I think its going to be a blast, I love Elden Ring, I love Rouge-likes, combining them is perfectly cool with me.

Hell even all the CC who got to play it already are saying, its like a very ambitious mod, but its fun. Vatti even said the whole 6 hours he got to play it, it had him locked in.

What you are saying is exactly what led to the downfall of Bethesda starting with Fallout 76, all the points you mentioned apply to what is happening with Bethesda and their disconnection from fans really wanted starting with Fallout 76 which was a knock off Fallout 4 like this elden ring thing is compared to the original game:

-Small budget allocated to it like fallout 76
-Smaller B team working on it like 76
-Using the same engine and graphics like 76
-Reusing all assets from it's single player counterpart like 76 did to fallout 4

I can keep going but all the signs are there, and what did we get after? the worst Bethesda single player game to date that was FlopField, a procedural generated mess that nobody asked for, this is not looking good folks.

Keep in mind, 76 was ABYSMAL.
So bad that even most fans of 4 (an already declined game) wouldn't play it.
Honestly this looks like the same path, step by step. How sad to see huh?

Yes i would assume so considering how sony bought their parent company and they own 10% of stock.

I actually played it and its quite a bit of fun, Vs when I played 76 beta and thought this is not great.

On top of that its believed that 76 had like a 100 million dollar budget which is not a "Small Budget" as well as having around 200 people working on it, which is not a small team.

If you want to be a Doomer by all means, I aint here to force you to buy it. But you are not going to convince me nor all the others who enjoyed the Tech test and like the look of the game to not buy it.

If you enjoy it then don't let me or anyone convince you otherwise, by all means go ahead you have 40$ +taxes to spare on a lazy copy/pasted game with a PVE BR mode.

Some of us simply chose not to give our money to these lazy products made by AAA companies, I would rather spend those 40$ on a date with my GF.
All game companies go to ♥♥♥♥ eventually. It's just the nature of it. No company can survive massive success. They all get greedy and flame out.

Hopefully we will still have Larian and Owlcat to carry the torch, I would have added CDPR but I can't stand playing female protagonists especially in the witcher universe where only men can survive the trial of grass, please let Larian and Owlcat stay away from DEI.
