Why are we complaining?

I mean, you're entitled to your own views here: but i stress tested the game during Feb and as it may seem like a "Cash Grab" to some or just "bad" have you got to play yet? There are new enemies, and night bosses are all unique and "new" while some enemies are the same from the main game, they have different movesets compared to what they were in the base game. The characters are unique here, and there is new lore. It's a passion project from Junya Ishizaki whos been fromsoft since 2011, he was given a chance to direct, like instead of bashing why not give it a chance and see if the man can cook and so far it had been really fun despite the network connection issues but that's what it was intended for, to stress test.

I mean that’s fair, but to expect a game that clearly was stated wouldn’t happen is y’all own faults 😭 But I get it. ER2 would be freakin’ amazing!

because people expected that to be elden ring two while ignoring the fact that this is not a major game and is just a passion project like you stated, imo for something secondary he did a fantastic job in delivering the concept and characters to the game but you will still find people who would say "eh why isnt this a minimum 200 hours gameplay with a huge map that contains a whole new game" while completely ignoring the fact that nightrein was never ment to be a major game

I totally get that, but when ER dropped the goat Miyazaki even said there will be no ER2. I totally get wanting a ER2 and it would be amazing if we got one, but to bank on it happening when it was clearly stated it WOULD not happen: is baffling to me. 😅

I totally agree, his first lead and he’s doing a pretty good job! It’s a fun nice twist on the souls formula!

Miyazaki actually said that a sequel to ER2 is possible and even a DS sequel, but he likely wouldn't be directing them.

Yeah I read the article, he still said they have no plans for ER 2 or even DS4 for that matter.

“We don't want to say this is the end of the Elden Ring saga for now. I think we said a similar thing at the end of Dark Souls 3. We didn't want to flatten those possibilities or put a pin in them just at that time. And it's a similar story with Elden Ring. We don't want to discourage the possibilities for that. Keyword there being ‘There might be’ I think he was teasing at Nightreign here considering this interview was done in Feb 2024 and night reign being announced later that year in October.
