From Software is just milking ER one last time before the end

Given how the Sony purchase will end with From Software being closed, rather than wasting money with a new project they would rather earn as much money as they can with minimal effort before the company closes.
Also, what's the point of starting a new project when you know you won't see it finished?

Overlevelling implies farming to make encounter easier but in MH, monsters are locked behind hunter rank which you can't access unless you beat current quest so you can't overgear to make game easier unlike souls games

Just don't pick Defenders Armor its mega ez with that from some reason unknown,maybe mastermind from post can explain me how it works,it's not overgear guy is just cosmetic :)))))))))))))

Defender gear was added with DLC as catchup gear to rush to g rank and somehow people are still getting filtered by low rank T Rex

Yea lol it was a good run, I will check back in a year to see if they release anything interesting. I think FS games aren't for me anymore, neither is the community. I remember discussing these games in forums with small but dedicated fans in forums since the DS1 days, good times and good discussions, back and forth, real discussions not just strawmanning or insults. Highly critical community back then too, we loved the games but we also criticized them heavily, the whole gid gud thing was just a funny inside joke back then too. There wasn't much elitism because well, the games weren't as popular, they were niche games.

Its different now, I see streamers with their chests pushed out of thier bras playing these games, thats mostly what you see now if you type in Elden Ring reaction to YT. Teenage girls, mainstream streamers, twitch thots all saying "NAMELESS KING!!", its just a meme community now basically, nostalgia bait, elitism, hyper toxicity. But mostly theres a new thing in the air, like now you cannot criticize FS anymore, its almost like the Borg, you are either with us or against us kinda mentality. It wasn't like that before.
