"Forced" I doubt it. Either way, From is a big company enough nowadays to allow themselves to spend some staff and resources making smaller side games like this. If you don't like it, hey, you're in luck because their next big game is also obviously coming.

It's not a live service Game. It's a full Game without microtransactions or Game pass. You can unlock all playing just a roguelite Coop game

I doubt it. Fs is an economically efficient dev studio and therefore they recycle almost all of their content. This is fan service for er enjoyers.
