I call "casuls" "casuls" because they wanna have all advantages with no risks. Sry guys, that shouldn't work this way.
PvP community can be toxic, true, but for reason "try harder" play against eachother on meta-levels while invaders just have fun with very different equipment and rarely rant how good or bad piece of equipment is. I had many invaders and had no problems with facing them lol
You're only locked into starting gear and the specific bonus abilities on the different characters, you can still build however you want in terms of gear and buffs based on what you find in a run.
And they've said they want to release the game with 100% of the content in it at launch unlockable through gameplay so it's unlikely there'll be microtransactions etc.
I don't wanna be rude but this kinda talk from Invaders trying to justify the playstyle always just reads to me as "Some people want to have fun, but I should be allowed to go in and ruin their fun! Because that's how I have fun and my own fun is more important than anyone elses."
And toxic is toxic. There's no good reason for it, it's just poor behaviour and gatekeeping no matter how anyone tries to spin it.
Tbh, ER fan base is so gentle. I remember when I played DSPtDE for the first time years ago. I remember the Darkroot Garden invasions: and this experience was extremely good. It added an atmosphere for this game.
Nobody promised you your journey shall be easy, it shouldn't. This game is supposed to be difficult and challenging, and as long as your opponent isn't cheater/glitchuser, it only makes game better
Well that's just objectively wrong, but you're clearly locked in to a certain way of thinking.
Everyone I know that plays it thinks it only makes the game worse, at least the way it's implimented. Difficulty is irrelevant.
I don't imagine you're gonna change your mind, and I don't wanna start an argument. So one or both of us should stop replying.
most of the time when i get invaded, the invader is always using some meta weapon or cheese build, and runs and hides behind enemies if they get hit a couple times. it's funny to see that type of crowd call others casuals just for wanting to play with their real life friends.
