2d Fighter Maker 2nd Commercial Usage?

Hi! I am interested to know the availability of using 2d Fighter Maker 2nd (2FM2) for commercial games. I was wondering if the enthusiasts of Vanguard Princess would know, since it is reportedly made in 2FM2. Is 2FM2 abandonware? Can it be purchased? What's the deal?

I am asking for my own potential use of course.

iirc people on fmhq seem to say it's not a abandonware, but I have no idea where you could buy the license if you wanted to.

As far as i know, 2FM2 isn't abandonware yet. This game in it's original version is made 2FM2, but the steam release is made on another engine for the widescreen and the DLC... And the legal things...
