Game crashing

When I load the game, the usual loading screen pops up, but when it mentions that it uses autosaves and to not turn off your game during these, the game randomly crashes. No message, no reason, nothing else in the background. I am very confused and would enjoy it if someone could help!

No, I managed to get it refunded. The issue has something to do with hardware which I don't want to mess with.

If i remember right the problem is with CPU's using more than 6 core's. There is some where a instruction how to rurn of some core's manual. But who want's to turn of core's every time just for playing Toy soldires and turn em back on after done playing.

I tried playing today for the first time, bought a few days back, crashes after intro.

I also have the same problem .... because then Steam does not compare from the details of the PCs it received and does not warn that the game does not work on new machines ... I am really disappointed ...

@RTH I agree, I wish I would have known. At least I got it refunded and it wasn't a complete waste of money. Steam really needs to let people know this stuff.

The devs are focusing on other games, i know, it was super nostalgic and i got 300 hours when i installed, and first multiplayer is broke, then there were wierd AI glitches and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of bugs, and they only patched a bit of that, however it costs money to run game servers and they arent making enough out of it, it was fun but 2018 was when people got tired of it, no updates, and not enough DLC purchases. dead game.

yep. crashes for me as well; still; its never getting fixed properly and with the 12 series of intel you have to disable cores in your bios because of the P and E cores. Hopefully it runs on the steam deck; if that ever comes; I only pre ordered that in March! SMH

i think it might be a sotfware update that might be missing that steam dose not provide cause the same that happen when i played the OG mass effect 3 then i updated something then i got it to play again so idk now im trying to help my friend who i gifted the game today and he cant get pass the intro like most of yall but im trying to figure it out what i did so i can pass it along bad thing is what i did was about 6months-1year ago soo i need to think and see what i did if anyone has ideas plz do share is what this is about

Hello, we just pushed a fix for the CPU thread issue. Let us know if this resolves your problem. It should work for the vast majority of CPUs, but not ones with an extremely large number of cores.
