bro got upset with plagiarism and then brought in racism, crazy..
if your going to complain about plagiarism then at least be precise about it. all of these games are based off of both castlevania and metroid hence the genre being refered to as metroidvania there are far too many games out there that have simular styles so get off your high horse and stop being a forum troll.
The devs obviously put a lot of effort into this game, it's not just a clone or cheap copy, it's an actual game, but the graphics make it seem like a ripoff.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Just maybe imitate 80% instead of 95% xD
Anyways, like others said, the devs of this game and Team Cherry are not only aware of each other but in good standing with one another
Once upon a time companies shouted about plagiarism, when there was even something attributable to another brand... now you can't talk about plagiarism even when 80% of the game is the same as another.
My dude...the Atari era had companies literally building their consoles with compatibility for their competitors (Collecovision). The NES days had people ripping off Nintendo and the SNES days saw licensed games copy and paste ideas and design. DOS was filled with Doom clones. Early PC freeware games were often as carbon copy as it gets. The 7th generation is famous for identical first-person shooters - so much so that the most famous of the style looking back is a deconstruction of the genre (Spec Ops). Nowadays every company chases the same money-making trend, making their games fundamentally identical even if they look superficially different. We can talk Hollow Knight ripoffs but dear god please don't pretend companies have integrity.
small developers who plagiarize others knowing that they get nothing because they come from countries where copyright is a taboo, or where they have no ideas and know that a complaint cannot take away the money (millions).
these comparisons are ridiculous so why not mention the invention of the wheel and those who have plagiarized it since prehistoric times.
ps: the company NIVEA sued NEVE for plagiarism because its name was reminiscent of NIVEA....and the companies are not even in the same sector, but it won the case, for so little.
