There was, several years ago (i used to have 8800 GTX's)
And my first gpu upgrade in 2007 was 8600GT

The 'x' is a range of numbers, ie as you mentioned 8600, x = 6 in your case and x = 8 in mine.

Ah, I remember the same Gintoki. I was trying to play Halo (PC) at the time, on the in house graphics of a standard office PC. Fitted the 8600 & vividly recall being V impressed with seeing smoke trails & bullet casings for the first time! Since then I've buit my own rigs, messed with Liquid cooling, suffered the frustrations of many BSOD & now run both Crysis 3 & Witcher 3 on highest settings. Ah, but them were the days. :)
