How to make your old savegames work with the Steam release
If you played TRT back in 2012, you can use your old savegames no problem with the Steam release, but you have to copy them over manually.

Even if you uninstalled the game, your old savegames might still be there.

- Start the game
- Click Saves -> Show In Folder
- The folder, "2002" contains your old savegames for The Real Texas
- The folder, "2002_STEAM" is the folder for the Steam release savegames
- You can just copy the files from 2002 into 2002_STEAM (but this will of course overwrite any existing saves on Steam.) "savegame1.dat" is the first save slot, etc. (you can rename them to change save slots.)

The reason they are in separate folders was just to avoid the Steam cloud saving mechanism from possibly clobbering your old savegames.

The folder "4008" and "4008_STEAM" work the same way, but for Cellpop Goes Out At Night.

Note you can also make backups of your save games this way.
