V-Sync 30 fps lock
Is there a way to get around this?

Strangely, the game even locks to 30 fps when I disable the ingame v-sync and enable it via driver. Never seen this kind of behavior with any game.

Only when I disable it completely (ingame, driver) I get above 30 fps (somewhere around 45 fps which feels a lot smoother).

Ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you're only achieving 45 fps without vsync, then my understanding is that any type of vsync is going to lock you at 30 because it steps from 60 to 30. It will only step you up to 60 if you're achieving better than 60 fps without vsync enabled.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question?

That's right. Triple-buffering is what is needed. I guess I've gotten used to the fact that many games use that by default. Well I could try and use the d3d overrider I guess, but if or when Lichdom uses dx11 this would become useless again.

Are you planning on supporting triple buffering in the beta or final version of the game?

I don't think that's on the list right now but I'll run it by the graphics guys.

Thanks, that's all I'm asking for. ^^ The 30 fps do lower my gameplay experience quite a bit. Game feels slow, unresponsive. 45 fps feel better but then I have tearing.

Not complaing though. It's in alpha, I don't expect it to be perfect. Keep it up, this game looks like it'll become great, so much potential. And...Jennifer Hale, yay! :D
