Frezze is useful, if you get caught in the red slowness effect as he jumps to acttack you frezze him, it takes time so practice with ice, to get the frezze ability use the control augment when crafting, find one that frezzes for 5-6 seconds you'll have plenty time to get away, hope this helped.

I still can't beat the first boss.

I've had bugs and glitches where walls, floors and enemies are invisible.

I've had projectiles go through walls - the first boss has killed me so many times with his green projectile going through columns and such.

I know it's in Beta - but this game needs a large amount of work. Apparently, the New Game+ isn't even a NG+, but more like a challenge mode.

I bought this game a few days ago; and while it has a ton of potential - it's actually quite disappointing. I'm going to put it down for awhile and wait for some patches.

You just need a bit more practice.
There are about 50.000 post about that this or that is to hard, but the truth is that this game is simply heaviely skill based without appearing so from the beginning.
The bosses simply WILL kill your freaking face the first few times, unless you either know what you are doing or are supremely lucky.

Sure, when projectiles are going through walls and are instantly killing you and invisible enemies attacking you - it's fair. Too many problems to make fighting a boss enjoyable and is extremely frustrating. Good thing it's in beta because it's disappointing and feeling overpriced.

Okay, I am not claiming the game is perfect, at all, but I have played the first boss fight (Demon plus Rogrik or whatever his name is lol) at least 25 times now, still haven't won. But I have yet to see a single "glitch" happn in this fight, E.G. hit through columns, invisible anything, etc. I die everytime because I focus too much on killing the adds and not freezing that giant prick chasing me down. Not becuase of some beta style glitch, in reality this game is surprisingly well done for BETA compared to some of the released trash on the market.

for the first boss, a charged fire aoe right at the beginning, on the platform, then a charged ice aoe, and use kinesis to lift the big demon till you have rogero (sp?) killed. use the pillars to block big demons green ball if he's not lifted. that will kill you, or bring you down to 1 shield if it hits. of course legendary spells help a ton. i beat the 1st boss tonight, then went back and did 3 more times. charged aoe of 1 element on platform at fight beginning, 2nd element charged aoe, then use kinesis lift on demon till ya kill rogero. use pillar to block demon's green ball.

I have been using an AOE DOT fire spell on Rogiro to start, but I didn't take Kinesis, I took Corruption, which is proving to be a really bad choice, I either don't grasp how to use it properly or it is just a lackluster spell school. It sounded cool though lol. The spell crafting also confuses the daylights out of me. I thought I was building a high damage target fire spell and all it does is turn people blue!? I am still practically using the standard spells now because the ones I make all seem to suck.

Once you beat the first boss it does get better, level design and more things to do.

Just man up and beat that boss! keep trying new things, for me just shielding each green lob and almost never taking my eye away from him worked best, I ignored most of the little skeletons and only killed them if they blocked my escape path.

Destruction corruption pool + Control Ice ray
He died in about 5 seconds

Corruption is actually one of the most powerful sigils once you underand it. The targeted fire spell you created was a Mastery typed spell. It applies a debuff that sets up for huge damage with another spell, but doesn't do any damage in and of itself. For help with the crafting systm, see this post the devs made: http://steamcommunity.com/app/261760/discussions/0/41973821518100054/
The guides to Crafting and Magicals Systems should really help you here. Also reading the journal entry for each sigil will really help you understand more of what you're doing when crafting.

Thanks for the link! Also the Journal entries are badly formatted and it makes them hard to read lol. is it so hard, Xaviant, to add a "<br>" code to your journal entries!? *chuckle*

I understand that everyone has their own way of telling people how to kill these bosses, but sometimes you may not have the sigils that are reccomended by others, so here is a way to do it using only the 2 basic Sigils (Fire and Ice):

I would suggest a pool spell with control (Freezing) on your ice spell. This way you can keep the boss frozen for long enough to get more than one attack off. Once he's frozen, just pelt him with spells that'll do good amounts of damage. When the boss is furious, I'd suggest simply running and blinking out of the way of attacks until he can be frozen again. Hope this helps :D

I took a targeted ice spell with control - it was a fast casting with quick projectile speed for the ability to quickly freeze an enemy at a fast rate. I used a damaging fire lob with destruction and while frozen, I was doing 500+ damage. I killed the first boss after 7 hours and dying about 10 times, but once you get the right spells, it pays off immensely. I have yet to fight the second, we'll see how it goes.
