How can I use more than one augment slot?
Hey everyone,
I just started playing this Game and as soon as I tried to craft a spell I noticed that:
A. I dont understand anything
B. I can only use one augment slot even with orange items.
Ive read that the number of Augment slots avaible depends on the Items quality, yet I can only find Items with +1 Augment Slot, greatly reducing the creativity in Crafting.
Can anyone explain this to me?
Also, you should definitly extend the toutorial, since I really needed a lot of time to understand how all this stuff works. And I still have a ton of open questions!
Thanks in advance!

There are patterns, with the adaptable affix, that allow two augments. But you can only have one type of augment, meaning you must choose from destruction, mastery or control. No multi-effect spells.
Ah, okay. So there wont be any spells that do damage on Impact as well as over time Damage? Dammit. Was looking forward to do that. (Maybe think about adding that).
Great game so far though. Cant complain! :)

there will be. you can have destruction focus, but still have some mastery if you put in augments that have both destruction and mastery
There are Augments that have both? How do I see that?
Does it say:
Mastery attuned.
Destruction attuned.
?

Those little bubbles under the big bubble.
Appearently, I got another Question: Ive read through the Journal and some (non-Destruction) spells have the description "Add Destruction to (for example) raise the instant Damage of the spell. What does that mean?

Each spell has a particular attunement (DE, CO or MA) determined by the first augment you add. However, each of the 3 stats improves the spell in different ways. So, if you have a DE attuned augment that provides +3 DE and +3 MA, the + 3 MA part isn't wasted, it still improves the spell in some way.

To give you an example:

A CO attuned Ice spell will freeze ennemies. Increasing the CO attribute will raise the duration of the freeze effect. However, the freeze spell also has the secondary effect of storing damage on the mob that can be released by hitting it with a destruction spell. The DE attribute will increase the stored damage. And the MA attribute will increase the amount of Mastery consumed on a crit (which in turn will increase the stored damage significantly).

Thanks for explaining!
But can I myself "raise" the amount of DE or MA on that CO Ice Spell or is it defined by the Attunement?

The spell's attributes are simply the aggregate of the attributes of the shape and all the augments. If you have a 4-4-4 shape and a 0-2-0 CO augment then the resulting spell will be a CO attuned spell with 4-6-4. In my example of an Ice CO spell, the stored damage would be based on a DE of 4, the amount of Mastery consumed would be based on a MA score of 4 and the duration of the freeze effect would be based on a CO attribute of 6.

If instead you had used a 1-2-0 CO augment then the resulting freeze spell would have the same duration and Mastery consumption, but its base stored damage would be higher (based on a DE of 5).

You can play around with the crafting system without having to commit components: try out different augments and see what they do - just don't press "craft" if you don't want to make that spell! Experimenting is definitely encouraged in this game.
