I did some research, and apparently it's by the same guy. Really interesting tidbit of information that isn't really mentioned much if at all by the developers.

Yeah, but a lot of people played and loved Shobon Action. You know what you're getting if you say this game was made by the guy who made that game, and hell, it might even help spread the word around a little more about this game's release.
